Protecting data while it runs.
Confidential computing closes the last obvious gap in the data lifecycle: data at rest and in transit can be encrypted, but data in use is usually still visible to the host. On IBM Z, that problem is treated as a hardware property, not an application afterthought.
I work on that stack at IBM’s India Systems Development Labs in Bangalore — Senior Software Engineer since July 2025, at IBM since 2021.
